What is death?

Death is defined as the action of dying or being; the end of life of a person.

Somatic death is clinical death. This means a person's brain function ceases and the activity stops. Cessation of heart and lung activity will also occur. This is when molecular death occurs. Molecular death is the cellular death which includes the onset of rigor mortis, livor mortis, algor mortis, autolysis, and putrefaction.
